New Topic

New Topic: Nutritionist

Original topic choices were not as good as the one I just discovered... 


In further investigation, I typed in the topic nutrition. 

And noticed there are a lot of articles relating to the topic and public health. 

In more I depth, I decided to specifically focus on nutritionist. 

A nutritionist is a person who studies or is an expert at nutrition.

My research topic will be on nutritionists, and my soon developing question is going to be about what majority of research have to say about nutritionists. 

And to perhaps narrow in more on what I am going to be specifically looking for, I will look to see if nutritionists are maintaining sufficient standards and professionalism in their careers.

An article I found that I would like to use as my main source is called,

Why I chose this article: 


I chose this article because it relates to my topic, has public health in the title, is from AJPH, and corresponds to my developing question. I found the article interesting because it explains the measurements of how they examined entry-level nutritionists, which is what I would like to focus on in this research project.  

Summary of the article:

The study conducted examined behavioral factors that would contribute to an "entry-level" nutritionist. Since nutritionists have a variety of roles, there are a diverse sets of skills and knowledge that is required. Among the numerous characteristics a nutritionists should obtain, the study discovered communication skills, patient/client counseling, and interpretation of scientific materials were rates as most critical in the workforce.
